StarFire Trailers® will have a 22 foot SpreadFire demonstration trailer at the PGI Expo in Appleton, Wisconsin, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, August 11th, 12th and 13th.  We are now taking orders for the 2010 Season.  Please contact me at your earliest convenience to allow time for the design and production of your trailer, so you will have it in time for this season's events.  Thank you!

WELCOME, and thanks for taking the time to visit our web page!  Please come back in the future as we will soon have pictures and a video of our trailers!

Before you read about our trailer design, please be aware that we will also build other types of trailers, and we will design and build most any type of open trailer you need.  Give us a challenge!  Please email us with your trailer or transportation requirements!  Also, to make it as easy as possible for you to obtain one of our trailers, we will accept financing of your purchase through a financial institution of your choice.

StarFire Trailer Systems will be designing our trailers for use with the racks, pod-system mortar units, firing controls and accessories available through Pyromaster LLC, and we are proud to announce we will be building trailers for them.  However, rest assured that no matter what your rack configuration or size, they WILL WORK on our trailers, as will whatever firing system/rails you utilize.  And, you can still order trailers directly though us!

StarFire Trailer Systems, though a new venture, would like to build your custom-size shooting platform based on our exclusive "SpreadFire" design, something I thought of almost 20 years ago.  This design allows you to shoot shells in a vertical-only trajectory, or shoot vertical, right, and left all from the same trailer using standard racks.  You can literally "fill the sky" from one trailer.  By using standard (vertical) racks, you can place more racks on whatever size trailer you choose.  I thought of this design as a way to compensate for wind or, by using two or more trailers, provide many wonderful options as an integral part of your display choreography.  The animated picture above-left shows the basic SpreadFire design.  The design can be altered to allow for both pivot decks to tilt in the same direction.

We do not "pre-build" any generic-size assemblies.  All trailers are built to the size and configuration you require.  However, we have standard features you will not find on any other production trailer, all of which cater specifically to the Pyrotechnic industry, such as a fold-up, full-length walkway(s) on both sides to facilitate loading and wiring the shells, and also for checking the guns after the show. You can shoot 4" and 6" shells without worries.  All of our designs use dual axles, and our current size range is from 16 feet to 24 feet, but up to 40 foot units are possible.

Mike and I (yes, only two employees as of now) have a combined welding, mechanical, and fabrication experience of over 50 years.  We take pride in every aspect of our work, our product, and every weld we make.  I have over ten years' experience as a government, x-ray certified welder, so you won’t see any "production-type" welds on our product.  Mike and I would like to make StarFire Trailers the premier Pyro trailer builder in the country.  That's not just a dream, but a goal of ours.

Most of our trailers use a ball hitch (bumper-pull) system, and a width of 100 inches (deck-over trailer design).  We use quality automotive paint and primer (eight basic colors available).  Our standard decking is two layers, consisting of premium, specially treated, 3/4" plywood on the bottom and a 3/4" Fire Rated Plywood top layer for durability and ease of maintenance; (please see the "Options" page for more information).  We also use weather-resistant wiring connections; 100,000 hour LED lighting; high-quality, high-speed bearings and  radial tires; torsion-bar axles; and more.  We build our trailers to keep your maintenance to a minimum!
